Youth V.I.B.E. has many exciting opportunities for you to volunteer in the community.  We’d love to have your assistance with different program and administrative needs.  Youth V.I.B.E. continues to thrive with assistance from our community partners and volunteers like you.  Check out the many ways you can get involved below.

Afterschool Volunteer

The Youth V.I.B.E. afterschool program runs during the school year Mondays – Thursdays from 3:30pm-6:30pm, we’re always looking for support in these areas:

Tutors:
 Tutor participants during homework sessions in various subjects

Program Assistants:
 Assist on-site activities i.e. afterschool snacks, program administration, and enrichment activities

Speakers for our Youth:
 Speak to our youth on issues surrounding them today

Communications Assistants:
 Assist our marketing team in maintaining materials i.e. web pages, brochures, flyers, and newsletters

Administrative Office Volunteer

The Youth V.I.B.E.  administrative office is opened throughout the year Mondays – Fridays from 9am – 5pm, we always looking for assistance in these areas:

Special Events:
 Assist during special events and various scheduled trainings

FUNdraising:
 Host a fundraising event on behalf of Youth V.I.B.E., Inc.

Businesses are encouraged to volunteer by offering their company for a potential tour by Youth V.I.B.E. participants. In addition, businesses can sponsor Youth V.I.B.E. participants by providing internships that expose youth to day-to-day business operations.

Expertise Volunteer

Do you have a special skill or talent?  Youth V.I.B.E. can benefit from your skills and talents in the following:

Marketing, Fundraising, Accounting, Evaluations, Writing, etc. Whatever your special skill is we can use it!

Please Note: All volunteers and staff not already employed by a metropolitan Atlanta school system are required to submit to a background check. Information below.

How to Complete a Fingerprint Background Check

Program staff and volunteers who are in direct contact with the students are required to perform fingerprint background checks. Registration will cost $52.90 and must be paid by the employee or volunteer.

To register and perform your fingerprint check, please complete the steps below:

1. Register as a single applicant by phone at 1-888-439-2512 or on the internet www.ga.cogentid.com

2. Click on the Single Applicant Registration Tab.

You will need to know the following information during registration:

  • Youth V.I.B.E. OAC #: GAP233263
  • Youth V.I.B.E. Verification Code: P233263
  • Transaction Info: 

Reason Code – DHS Contractor/ Health providing …
  • Does another Agency provide fitness – CHECK YES (DHS is the determining agency).

3. Print and take your registration form along with two valid forms of I.D. to a GAPS fingerprinting site.
